Our Chief Growth Officer, Sophie Guibaud joined David Brear on the 11:FS Breakfast Show last week, where they discussed everything from the world of banking, fintech and payments and life in the midst of COVID-19.
Sophie has been on maternity leave for the past two months and shared her experience of what is was like being a parent to a new-born during these times of lockdown and global pandemic.
David and Sophie discussed how businesses have been implementing social distancing and working from home, and how OpenPayd has approached this with their own staff.
Working from home and dealing with the coronavirus has obviously been challenging for many businesses and employees, but our team has quickly adapted to the new working practices.
Still, even while we are all working from home, we have added several key hires over the past couple of months, Digby Try as our Head of Sales and strengthening our board with senior advisors Matthias Kröner and Ruth Evans.
Sophie also discussed in more detail what was on the horizon for OpenPayd, including the recent licence application for Asia in partnership with MatchMove and adding new payment functionalities, such as SEPA capabilities and how this will benefit our customers.
The session concluded with a lively Q&A session with Sophie answering questions submitted by the listeners which provided many insights into the current banking and payment landscape.
