Which regulatory licences do you hold?

OpenPayd is licensed as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the UK, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and a Financial Institution in Europe, authorised and regulated by the Maltese Financial Services Authority.

OpenPayd also has a network of banking partnerships across the world, giving us the ability to offer far-reaching services.

Does my business need to be licensed to work with OpenPayd? 

We work with both licensed and unlicensed businesses, but your required licensing depends on what your business does. It’s best to get in touch with us  and we can advise further.

Is OpenPayd a bank?

OpenPayd is not a bank. We provide banking-as-a-service through embeddable financial services infrastructure, giving businesses access to many services that they would traditionally obtain from a bank.
