Meet The Team
Dr Ozan Ozerk is the founder of OpenPayd. He is a serial entrepreneur with a vested interest in several digital ventures.
He founded OpenPayd in 2015 and set the vision to democratise international payments and banking and thus empower businesses to grow. OpenPayd delivers against that vision through its global license network and modular technology platform.
Prior to OpenPayd, Dr. Ozerk qualified and practiced as a medical doctor in Norway after which he successfully built and sold two social media businesses in Scandinavia.
Iana sets the strategic direction and vision for OpenPayd and leads the Executive Team.
She has extensive experience in the fintech and payments industries. Prior to joining OpenPayd, Iana served in positions with increasing responsibility at Paysafe and previous to that she was working in private practice as a corporate lawyer.
Iana holds a masters in European Economics law and ICT Law from the University of Strasbourg and an Executive MBA from the London Business School.
David is responsible for the financial planning, accounting, reporting and all fiscal aspects of the operations to support the long-term strategy of OpenPayd.
David has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, with extensive knowledge of financial management, treasury management, and mergers and acquisitions. He has held senior positions at E D & F Man, LCH.Clearnet Ltd where he was the Finance Director for over 10 years and 2Checkout Ltd. Since 2010 he has been a Trustee of Man Group plc’s defined benefit pension scheme.
David is a Chartered Certified Accountant.
Sophie is responsible for the growth strategy at OpenPayd. The scope of her role includes new business generation, strategic partnerships and group development strategy.
Sophie has extensive experience in banking and fintech. She began her career in investment banking before joining a growth capital fund. After successfully launching the HelloFresh brand in the UK, she led product strategy and commercialisation at Bankable. She joins OpenPayd from Fidor where she spent 5 years and held a variety of executive positions, most recently Managing Director Europe.
Sophie holds a B.B.A in Corporate Finance from the HEC Montréal.
Adam is responsible for the product strategy at OpenPayd. His role incorporates the planning, design, development, and delivery of the product portfolio.
Adam has over 12 years’ product management experience within the cards and payments value chain, including core banking, card issuing, merchant acquiring, gateway processing, alternative payment schemes and most recently retail payments and digital wallets. He has previously held senior positions at Wi5, Hyperjar, Ukash, Raiffeisen Bank and was Head of Payments for Sainsbury’s.
Adam holds an MBA from Durham Business School.
Jonathan is responsible for leading the OpenPayd technology teams and delivering the product and technical roadmap.
He has over 19 years of commercial software engineering and product development experience, specialising in the payments and FinTech industries. Prior to OpenPayd, he held senior roles with leading technology focused businesses including BAX Global, CACI, 2i and Titan Gaming.
Jonathan holds a BSc in IT, is a qualified DSDM Facilitator, and has a postgraduate qualification in FinTech.
Adam owns the brand positioning and marketing and communications strategy for OpenPayd.
He has extensive experience across a range of industries and marketing disciplines. Prior to OpenPayd, he held senior marketing roles with a leading UK gaming company working with brands including Virgin and Global Group. He started his career at United News and Media and subsequently progressed at several leading business including Yell.com and American Express.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business and postgraduate marketing qualifications from the CIM and IDM.
Aysun is responsible for our greatest asset – our people. She oversees talent acquisition, development and education, and engagement and culture.
Prior to OpenPayd, Aysun worked internationally and across a number of industry sectors in diverse cultures and working environments. She has extensive experience in helping businesses develop and execute talent strategies that foster growth, innovation, and organisational effectiveness.
Aysun is a qualified CIPD member and holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Kings College London.
